I'm trying to display the bend line notes, but the option to "display" the notes with in the Drawing View Properties is 'greyed' out. Such as any file that uses a sheet metal feature, the option for bend lines should be automatic, not an option.
In view properties, the check box WAS checked to show bend notes. To disable Web help from within SOLIDWORKS and use local help instead, click Help > Use SOLIDWORKS Web Help. I am not able - 8977780

That refreshed the Sheet Metal parameters and the bend notes reappeared on the drawing. Set the direction and depth of the extrusion. Now I want to bend it in the middle 90 degrees, and I find that my Sheet Metal Tool Bar is mostly greyed out, I was intending to use the sketch bend tool.

I haven't had this issue with my parts in the past.

This is happening because your original sketch, extrude was not created under the sheet metal feature (See New1). Solved: I've been working with an indesign file for a few weeks. what do you think?

The checkbox is selected under Tools-Options-Document Properties-Sheet Metal, so I don't see why this isn't working in this drawing. it is a 80/20 call most of the time if you create a Sheet metal drawing this information is a must not an option. Alternatively, you can create a part directly out of sheet metal with a base flange or by using Convert to Sheet Metal. Bend line "yes"...Bend line "no" is way too simple.

After using "Extruded boss/base" to create the outside part, and "Extruded cut" to cut the inner hole, I used "base flange" to turn it into a sheet-metal part. I think maybe some of us we not selecting the correct "Orientation" options when placing the initial view. then manualy type in your bend line note. Hopefully SW will review this discussion and think of ways to improve the visibility. click the flat pattern view, go to feature manager pane on the left, & in the orientation selection, uncheck and recheck the "flat pattern" check box.
